reader's choice awards
This month featured our very first Reader's Choice Awards. After reviewing all of our procedures and the number of times they were researched, our Top 5 Overall are:
  1. SmartLipo - the revolutionary laser lipolysis method that trims and tightens.
  2. BOTOX - the world renowned wrinkle fighting injectable.
  3. Laser Hair Removal - now less painful and more effective than ever before.
  4. Mesotherapy - a method of injection lipolysis for spot fat reduction.
  5. Thermage - the amazing laser free skin tightening and contouring technology.

thermage faceThermage was the number one procedure for this month as people geared up for the holidays. Our readers were also interested in SmartLipo for spot fat reduction, permanent makeup to shave time off their busy mornings, and Botox to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Danny CahillDanny Cahill, the winner of The Biggest Loser, was also the winner on AHB this month. The information posted about his win was the most read article by far, beating out second place by more than twice the numbers. He made history when it was revealed that he'd lost 239 pounds, a full 55.58% from his original weight, the most lost in Biggest Loser history.

holiday dietingThe season of eating is upon us and many are looking for ways to trim down in the new year. Medical weight loss is an option for those who have tried and perhaps failed at previous weight loss attempts. Your physician can tailor a diet just for you that will help you shed those extra pounds in the new year.

miss argentinaFormer Miss Argentina Solange Magnano died earlier this month following a buttock augmentation using injections of a substance known as PMMA. Her tragic loss highlights the need to research any aesthetic procedure thoroughly before going through with it. While all cosmetic surgery carries risks, it is important to know your physician and the methods used and ensure they are safe.

botaxThis month saw the "Botax" removed from the proposed health care bill and the "Tantax" added in its place. There was to be a 5% tax placed on all elective cosmetic procedures to help fund the hefty price tag of the bill but there was an uprising of support to stop the Botax. It was called discriminatory and invasive and was replaced by a 10% tax on indoor tanning.

Lynne Curtin"Real Housewife of Orange County" cast member Lynne Curtin was hot again this month as everyone is interested in the results of her facelift procedure. Lynne and daughter Raquel both visited cosmetic surgeon Dr. Milind Ambe for a consultation. Raquel had a rhinoplasty performed while Lynne wanted to be rid of a few wrinkles and some droopiness.

Tria Hair removalThe Tria Personal Laser system was huge this month as people researched holiday gifts. Tria is a personal laser hair removal system you can use in the comfort and privacy of your own home. It helps save both time and money on shaving and waxing and makes a great gift. Tria was named one of America's Hottest Brands in a report put forth by Advertising Age.

cupid's bow surgeryLip augmentation is a great way to plump up those lips, and now there's a permanent option. Cupid's Bow Surgery is a simple, permanent procedure to improve your lips without fillers or implants.
