- Wellbox Lipomassage
This at-home treatment delivers micropulses and mechanical massage to smooth out cellulite and tighten up the thighs and buttocks. It works similarly to the machines you'll find in aesthetic physician's offices and, at a price tag of $1500, can save you money in the long term.
- Spray-on skin tightener
This product isn't actually out yet, says Dr. Youn, but works similarly to Retin-A and is sprayed on the skin to provide a tightening effect. Dr. Youn does caution that it is a very minimally invasive procedure and the results are not dramatic, so while you may see a slight improvement, it may not be the significant change you've been looking for.
- Dermaglide Microdermabrasion System
This new microdermabrasion system uses all natural baking soda crystals to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Youn says it can also be used to help improve the appearance of acne on the chest.
- Syneron LipoLite laser
This surgical laser lipo procedure can remove fat from small, spotty areas that would have been difficult to treat with traditional liposuction. The laser melts the fat prior to removal and also provides some skin tightening for a beautiful result. Dr. Thomas Barnes of Newport Beach, CA uses LipoLite in his office and says, "...I'll come in with my LipoLite laser for laser lipolysis because then I can stimulate the tissue for more shrinkage."
