BodyTite uses radio frequency (RF) to dissolve fat, contour the body and tighten skin. The procedure is known as Radio Frequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL) and is an FDA cleared device.
BodyTite is a two pronged unit that has an internal and external component. The physician makes a small incision and adds the tumescent solution, just as with traditional liposuction. One prong goes in the body and the other stays above, and the two form a circuit for the electrical energy. The prong that's under the skin both melts and suctions the fat at the same time. Also, the unit checks the temperature constantly to avoid burns to the patient.
BodyTite/FaceTite is for use on the stomach, arms, chest, knees, inner/outer thighs and face. The procedure is considered minimally invasive and leaves virtually no scarring.
Results can be seen immediately after one treatment and are more evident over three to six months post-treatment. Some physicians refer to this treatment as a Surgical Tummy Tuck Alternative, Surgical Arm Lift Alternative and/or Surgical Facelift Alternative without the scarring and downtime. Typically an in-office procedure preformed under local anesthesia.
"I have experienced extraordinary early results using the FaceTite and BodyTite on our patients here at Personique. Even a patient one week out from the neck and jawline treatment have incredible results with minimal bruising!", says Dr. Lauren Crawford of Personique Plastic Surgery.
"I am so excited to offer the best in technology to our patients." Dr. Malcolm Paul, past President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has experience with the BodyTite device and says that it differs from other new liposuction technologies. "This is the only technology that can simultaneously dissolve the fat cells, coagulate the blood vessels - so that there's less bleeding and bruising - aspirate the fat that is dissolved, and as importantly, tighten the collagen from the skin down to the muscle."
