Where does the fat go if you gain weight after liposuction?
A recent study by the University of Colorado suggested that people who had liposuction but didn't change their lifestyle tended to gain the fat back. For the most part adults tend to have more or less the same number of fat cells we had as kids. Fat cells removed during liposuction are gone forever but existing fat cells can expand or the fat can be stored in new places.
