This new diet plan lets participants eat what they want and still lose weight by making small changes.

Dr. Travis Stork is best known for his role as co-host on The Doctors and as one of the first contestants on reality TV's The Bachelor. He's also a successful writer and has a new diet book, The Lean Belly Prescription.

The diet is based on the need to lose dangerous belly fat. Known as visceral fat, it's the most dangerous because it surrounds many major organs and damages their ability to function. Studies have tied belly fat to the development of heart disease, cancer, stroke, arthritis, and type-2 diabetes. On the other hand, having a lean belly has been shown to have greater health benefits including better sleep, and can even make you smarter. People have a healthier heart and tend to enjoy a better sex life, as well as more money because of decreased health bills.

The Lean Belly Prescription says you don't have to give up the foods you love to drop pounds and get rid of dangerous belly fat. Dr. Stork says, "What I like to tell people is you don't have to give up the food you love to lose belly fat, and you don't have to go to the gym to benefit." Rather, he says it's about small changes that matter.

It's a six week plan that advises participants to make small changes that can have big effects. The book offers alternative recipes for many of everyone's favorite "guy foods" like steak and eggs, pizza, and fajitas.

You can buy the book at www.leanbellyrxbook.com or on Amazon.com. Dr. Stork was also a contributor to The Doctors 5-Minute Health Fixes: The Prescription for a Lifetime of Great Health and is author of an earlier book, The Doctor Is In.
