Dr. Frank Ryan, who was most well known for his work as Heidi Montag's doctor, died yesterday afternoon at 50 years old after veering off the Pacific Coast Highway in California. He was pronounced dead on the scene by local authorities due to severe head injury.

Dr. Ryan was one of the first to perform a plastic surgery makeover on television, on TLC's The Operation. He had several famous clients including model Janice Dickinson and rocker Vince Neil, and many are pouring out their sadness and support. He was also considered a philanthropist and founded the Bony Pony Ranch whose purpose is to help "underprivileged and at-risk youth excel beyond their current situations.The Foundation has created an atmosphere where young people can maximize their talents and achieve new goals in life by being exposed to new role models and mentors who can provide a positive influence."

According to TMZ, A candlelight vigil will be held at 7:30 pm at Zuma Beach, address 30000 Pacific Coast Highway.
