The Viveve System is a single, 30 minute procedure utilizing RF energy (radiofrequency) heating and surface cooling to stimulate collagen production in the vaginal wall. The device uses a cryogenic tip to immediately cool the treated area, allowing the  Viveve to deploy higher temperatures and achieve treatment depths unattainable with many of the first generation RF devices. Unlike a laser, the  Viveve does not destroy vaginal tissue resulting in no downtime. Doctors and patients state that  Viveve results include vaginal tightening, lubrication, sexual arousal and assists with urinary incontinence issues. Although the device is new to the US, it has been used in Europe for over four years. According to a study by Viveve:

• There were NO serious adverse events in patients treated with the active treatment
