The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) has recently established The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS). They are now reinstituting its Facial Fellowship Program, which will supply qualified fellow candidates to sit for the facial cosmetic surgery board exam.
Dr. Michael J. Will, The AACS President said, "These facial fellowship programs are a tremendous asset to any professional in the specialty of cosmetic surgery, educating qualified surgeons through comprehensive hands-on training in cosmetic procedures. We couldn't be more excited to bring these important programs back to our membership."
Effective immediately, AACS is seeking to reestablish the Facial Fellowship Programs by seeking qualified directors. Those interested in establishing a facial fellowship program at their location can find guidelines and submission instructions on the AACS website at www.cosmeticsurgery.org. To apply for a directorship, each candidate must be a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and a current Fellow-level member of AACS.
