Bushy Eyebrows Are The Newest Trend

Don't worry... there are new medical trends out there. Eyebrow Transplants... which are a form of hair transplants are gaining in popularity by the "it crowd", and Today,

The New York Times and Good Morning America (GMA) have been anxiously covering this eyebrow transplanting trend. Today.com wrote, "full eyebrows have been a big beauty trend for some time now, but some ladies are tired of having to fill in their own with wax and powders."

"Right now Kim Kardashian is hot," Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Sanusi Umar tells The New York Times with a laugh, "that is, eyebrow wise."

Hair Restoration Using Body Hair -- Dr. Sanusi Umar has his own technique for hair transplantation from the body to the eyebrows or head called SFET or Single Follicle Extraction & Transfer. SFET uses Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) to harvest donor hair from the head, beard and body. Dr. Umar has been performing eyebrow hair transplants with his SFET method for several years.

According to Dr. Sanusi Umar, "Traditionally, hair transplants entail the transfer of hair from the back and the sides of the head, where patients typically don't experience hair loss. Until recently, a strip of flesh was removed from the back and sides of the head which was then sewn up, leaving a scar from one side of the back of the head to the other." With Dr. Umar's new technique, this scarring is no longer so obvious and easily camouflaged with new hair growth.
