  1. Get Fed up
It may seem that each time you try to lose weight, you fail, yet the yearning for a healthier thinner you never goes away. Unfortunately, similar to leaving an unhealthy relationship or kicking an addiction, you have to hit rock bottom. Essentially, you have to get fed up and get to the point where you don't care what it takes, you're not living like this anymore.

  2. Get Help
Half the reason most weight loss plans fail is because we aren't born inherently knowing how to lose weight. Evolution has moved us from being hunter/gatherers which kept people naturally thin to sedentary lifestyles that allows weight to collect and stay on. Therefore, it is absolutely vital that you seek the help of a professional. If you can afford a nutritionist and a trainer, it will certainly make your journey easier. If you can only afford one, hire a trainer to motivate you. If you're tight on funds all around, conduct extensive research on your own. The internet, including our website, is ripe with fitness and diet tips and YouTube is a great tool to learn how to do exercises correctly.

  3. Get Serious
Make it official. Vow to only eat out once a week. Clean out the pantry of all your old junk food and go shopping for healthy food and snacks. Designate one day to prepare your meals for the week ahead. Don't put it off! Let everyone you know that you mean business and you need their support. Get some new workout gear so you'll be comfortable and ready to go when it's time to hit the gym. Invest in yourself and it will pay off.

  4. Get Structured
The key to making your weight loss story a success lies within planning. We recommend keeping a big calendar to plan out all your workouts and weigh-in days. Sit down with your trainer or go online to make a written out, step-by-step plan on how you intend to accomplish your goals. Set specific, attainable goals. For example, "Lose weight by Christmas" is not specific. "Lose 10 lbs by this weekend" is not attainable. However, "Lose 2 lbs every week until December 25th by working out Monday-Friday plus 30 minutes of cardio three days a week" is clear, specific and most of all attainable. Accept that you can achieve your goal and make a plan to do so. Just remember, after you've achieved your first goal, set another! Keep challenging yourself to stay fit. Don't just reach a goal and simply quit. Fitness is a lifestyle, not a one-time thing.

  5. Get Fit
It's up to you now. You've got your mind set. You've got help. You've got a plan, a support system so go get fit!
