Developed by Stiefel, a GSK company, the RevaleSkin care line is based on the extract from the coffee berry, the unripe cacao bean. According to the manufacturer, coffee berry extract is the most potent form of natural antioxidants of any fruit, vegetable or tea so far tested by Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) method. Endorsed by USDA, with an ORAC score of 15,000-17,000, the extract of the coffee berry is higher than green tea, pomegranate, Vitamins C and E.
Bill Humphries, president of Stiefel says, "CoffeeBerry comes from the immature coffee bean. It is picked before it matures to maintain the high antioxidant properties of the coffee berry." When the berry of the coffee plant is harvested before maturity, the fruit has a powerful concentration of antioxidants.
