Join Palm Beach plastic surgeon Dr. Anita Mandal as she sponsors a cocktail hour to benefit the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation. The Foundation was formed to help the community learn about preventing and detecting skin cancer early, thus decreasing the morbidity and mortality rates associated with the disease.
According to the The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the most serious type of skin cancer is melanoma. If diagnosed and treated early, most cases of melanoma may be cured. Without treatment, the cancer cells grow downward into the skin, invading healthy tissue and may spread to other parts of the body. With the help of organizations such as the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation, which educates patients that early detection is one of the keys to successful treatment, skin cancer mortality rates can be greatly decreased.
Health and Beauty experts include Dr. Anita Mandal, creator of the High Definition Whisper Lift, the next generation of quick recovery facelift options, Dr. Mitchell A. Josephs, Dr. Alex Goldman, and Dr. Kathleen Herne. Sponsors include Stuart Weitzman and co-sponsors include Palm Beach Gardens Mall, Brios Restaurant and Sephora.
Cost of admission is the purchase of a raffle ticket at $25 and may be purchased by calling 1-866-539-0498.
