Changing your lifestyle is critical to weight loss success, and a great first step is rearranging your refrigerator. A study from Cornell University says that you're 2.7 times more likely to eat healthy food if it's in your line of sight, so getting your fridge set up properly can go a long way towards your dieting efforts.

- Put fruits and veggies first.
Instead of hiding the fruits and veggies down below, put them up top on an eye level shelf so they're the first thing you see when you open the door. Keep the junk food hidden away on lower shelves or drawers, and keep them wrapped in foil so you can't even see them. - Set up your meals.
Rather than packing leftovers in several small containers, pack meal size portions away. According to Men's Health magazine editors, Brian Wansink, Ph.D. and author of "Mindless Eating: Why We Eat More Than We Think," it's better to combine leftover so that each container packs a sensible meal. - Don't fill the fridge.
Go shopping more often and keep less food in the fridge and the pantry. Buy only enough food for the next few meals instead of packing away for a rainy day. Having too much food at home can tempt you to eat more. If you look at your pantry and it's nearly bare, you're more likely to eat less.
Making smarter choices can be difficult, especially at first. Getting yourself set up for success should be a part of your overall plan to head for health.
