Skin Treatments to Keep Necks Young

Sun damaged and loose, crepe neck skin are among the chief complains of women ranging in age from 35 to 60. This past Sunday's Houston Chronicle offered some solutions.

This Sunday's Houston Chronicle had an article titled "Skin Treatments can help keep necks young." Lack of sunscreen and over-exposure are the main culprits to aging of the skin on the face, neck and chest.

Solutions offered to people afflicted with loose neck skin began with creams and lotions for very mild cases increasing to Microdermabrasion and chemical peels which can be found at most Houston Medical Spas and at Reflections Medical Spa.

The Today show recently ran a series on Looking Young and featured the Fraxel Laser for repairing sun damaged skin. The Houston Chronicle also suggests the Fraxel Laser for cases more severe than traditional microdermabrasion or PhotoRejuvenation can handle.

For severe loose neck skin, Dr. Jeffrey Friedman, chief of plastic surgery at The Methodist Hospital System, suggests liposuction or a full neck lift. Although plastic surgery will not fix any pigment problems, it will only assist with the loose skin.
