A Great Team - Zerona and Leeza Gibbons

Zerona is taking the aesthetics industry by storm by helping people drop a size or more without surgery.

Zerona is a non-invasive laser treatment that helps people lose inches, without any surgery or pain. The laser was originally developed for physicians to use with their patients prior to liposuction surgery. The laser causes a pore to open in the fat cells so that they empty their contents into the interstitial space between the cells. The liquefied fat and empty cells were easier to remove than whole cells. Eventually, the company tried it as a standalone procedure. Though the results are not as dramatic as with liposuction surgery, patients have reported loss of inches after undergoing treatment.

Leeza Gibbons has been working with Zerona since October of last year, and both have seen some exciting changes. One website, FindZerona.com, has reported an increase of 33% since Leeza took on the job of National Spokesperson. "I am always inspired by transformation," Leeza says. "ZERONA is an innovator in offering the tools and technologies for people to change the way they look and feel about themselves."

Dr. Thomas Barnes, who offers Zerona in Newport Beach, says, "We can lose 4 or 5 inches, an aggregate, off of hips, thighs and waist and we also have a systemic effect. Even though I shine the lights there, 20 minutes on the front, 20 minutes on the back, you feel nothing. So your clothes fit better, it's a motivator for a new weight loss program... You also slim off the upper arms, knees and neck, even though those are outside the area we shine the lights."

Zerona has been an increasingly popular procedure on American Health & Beauty and took an award as one of our top minimally invasive body contouring brands for all of 2009. It was also the most improved procedure for 2009, experiencing a huge jump in interested patients last year over 2008. It is still holding strong in 2010 and was second in body contouring brands for all of February.

As Dr. Barnes said, the treatment time is only 20 minutes per side for a total of 40 minutes per session. A course of treatment usually takes 2 weeks with 3 sessions per week, and full results are realized a week or two after treatment ends.
