Weight Loss Program and Body-Jet Liposuction Join Forces

Body-Jet Liposuction combined with a weight loss program helps people maintain their results.

{!Body-Jet Liposuction | body-jet} is a new form of lipo that's gaining in popularity. It differs from traditional liposuction by using water to loosen the fat before it is removed. In this manner, the fat can be preserved and used for fat transfer procedures. Laser lipolysis procedures, in which a laser is used to zap the fat before it is suctioned out can't preserve the fat cells as they are destroyed by the laser.

Also known as water assisted liposuction, Body-Jet uses less fluid than traditional lipo resulting in less discomfort and quicker recovery for the patient. It is much gentler than traditional lipo as well and can be performed under local anesthesia. Furthermore, it allows the physician to better assess the sculpting being done, allowing for a more beautiful result.

Maintaining this result is not so simple, however. If a patient does not keep up a healthy diet and exercise regimen, their sculpted figure won't last. Dr. Lawrence Janowski of Colorado's Sonata Laser Aesthetics and Center for Lipoplasty and Dr. Kelly Sennholz of Symtrimics are teaming up with patients to ensure a healthy diet is maintained after Body-Jet by helping them establish proper eating habits before undergoing the procedure, and continuing these habits after surgery.

The Symtrimic (L) program is two-fold, the first part of the program gets patients ready for Body-Jet by getting them to the required BMI needed for the surgery, and then prepares the patient to maintain the healthy habits after surgery. Using this method, they hope to see patients stay healthier for longer.
