Breast reduction is not an uncommon surgery sought out by moms to help restore the body they had pre-baby. Oftentimes, women will undergo a combination of procedures known as a mommy makeover which can include breast reduction, breast lift or breast implants depending on the woman's individual needs. Additionally, mommies opt to have a tummy tuck liposuction or both to rid themselves of the baby pooch that's often left behind after pregnancy. Some moms also address a more personal issue and may have a vaginal rejuvenation procedure done.
When opting for liposuction and tummy tuck, one popular choice is laser lipo These procedures use laser energy to melt the fat before it is removed so that the physician has an easier time when it comes to aspirating, or sucking out, the unwanted fatty tissue. Additionally, many of these technologies make it possible for a physician to acheive results similar to a tummy tuck, without actually performing one thanks to their ability to stimulate collagen growth and tighten skin.
SmartLipo is regarded by many as the gold standard of laser liposuction and can attribute at least some of its popularity to its ability to tighten the skin. Michigan cosmetic surgeon Dr. Robert Burke says, "A lot of women come in and say, 'I know I have the loose skin, things changed when I had my baby, and I just do not want to have a tummy tuck....' Well I can get a lot more skin shrinkage with SmartLipo than I could with liposculpture alone."
Vaginal rejuvenation treatments can accomplish a variety of goals. Labiaplasty reduces the size of the labia and can be performed with either a scalpel or a laser. Perineoplasty strengthens the muscles of the perineum, the space between the vagina and the anus in order to shrink the vaginal opening and can provide greater sensation during sex. Laser corrective surgery is also available to treat bladder prolapse, which may be the cause for your stress urinary incontinence. This procedure moves the bladder back into proper position and may make use of an artificial sphincter to help control urinary leakage.
