Non-surgical Blepharoplasty, often referred to as a non surgical eyelift, is used to treat dark circles and indentions under the eye which give the allusion that the patient is always tired. Dr. Alex Rivkin uses hyaluronic acid injections under the eye area which stimulates collagen growth, filling and reinvigorating the whole area to perform this non-surgical eye makeover. Procedure takes about 5 minutes to perform but is not permanent. Dr. Rivkin and Dr. Ordon describe the procedure as lasting 12 to 18 months.
Unlike the old surgeries of the past, facial fillers are used to restore volume to the patient's face giving them a fuller, more youthful look.
This procedure is different than the Non-Surgical Eyelift using a fractional resurfacing laser that was on a previous episode of The Doctors. That procedure, referred to as The Madonna Lift, is for treating fine lines and wrinkles, not necessarily indentions.
Of course non surgical procedures are very popular, but you should consult with a physician to make sure you are a candidate and that the results will be in line with your expectations. If you have excessively loose skin and wrinkles on the eyelids and around the eyes you might need to consider traditional Eyelid Surgery.
