What Are VASER Lipo Alternatives?
From Sound Surgical Technologies, VASER Lipo is an innovative body sculpting option that uses patented VASER technology to break up and permanently remove unwanted fat, while minimally disturbing other important tissues critical to an optimal recovery and smooth results. VASER Lipo utilizes ultrasonic energy to gently remove intact fat cells. Ultrasound, as an energy source, is tissue selective - meaning it can be directed to targeted fatty tissue, leaving surrounding tissue largely undisturbed. Fat that is removed with VASER Lipo is ideal for a fat transfer to other more desirable areas on the body, such as the breast or buttocks.

VASER Lipo Facts
- Uses ultrasound energy to disrupt fat without destroying it
- Intact fat can be used in Fat Transfer
- 95% approval rating from US physicians who were polled
During the procedure, the physician makes a tiny incision in the treatment area and inserts a thin probe that emits ultrasonic waves to selectively break up fat deposits, leaving important tissues relatively intact. The energy delivered to the area actually breaks down the fat into a liquid that is removed with suction and/or massage.
VASER technology is precise to the point that physicians can remove fat and contour delicate areas, such as inner thighs, arms, chin and neck. Physicians have also reported success in treating larger areas such as the abdomen, thighs, knees, buttocks, hips, back, arms, breasts and love handles.
What Are The Risks Of VASER Lipo?
Inherent to any minimally invasive body contouring procedure, risks of VASER Lipo may include minimal bruising, swelling and other minor complications. However, since the ultrasound based procedure is less traumatic than other liposuction techniques, there is less risk to surrounding tissues. Ultrasound energy from the VASER probe may injure skin or deeper tissues, however this is rare. It is important to discuss any issues you may have with your physician as each individual is different and may not be an ideal candidate for VASER Lipo.

Why Should I Choose VASER Lipo Over Traditional Liposuction?
Traditional surgical fat removal procedures have depended on mechanical avulsion and suction of fatty tissue (including surrounding nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue). Since traditional liposuction destroys fat from mechanical energy, the fat cells are no longer intact and are not viable for fat transfers.
In addition, with VASER Lipo, nerves and blood vessels are largely undisturbed. Patients and physicians report low to minimal pain and bruising.

How Much Does VASER Lipo Cost?
The cost of VASER Lipo depends on the skill of the physician, market and location of the practice as well as the size and location of fat to be removed. Costs can range anywhere between $3,000 to $15,000 for VASER Lipo, depending on how many areas are treated.
