Thigh liposuction is very popular among women, who tend to store a greater amount of fat in their thighs than males. As women age, the body tends to hold more fat in select areas. Too much fat on the inner thighs can result in the thighs rubbing together, causing discomfort, irritation and rashes. Liposuction is one way to remove excess fat from these problem areas.
When removing fat with tumescent liposuction from the legs, the result often can be an uneven, dimpled surface. To solve this problem, Dr. German Newall, located in Houston, has developed a new technique for removing fat from the inner and outer thighs. After removing the desired amount of fat, Dr. Newall spreads a thin layer of fat in a fanning motion back into the leg to create a smooth surface on top of the treated area. He has treated more than 20 patients with this method with no complications and he is happy with the results.
Dr. Newall said, "I’ve been using fat grafting to contour bodies for years, so this new technique is a very simple adjustment to my current method. It doesn’t take much longer at all, and the patients are very happy with the results."
