Board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Jay Burns, MD, based in Dallas, is excited.
This is the only FDA-cleared, minimally invasive procedure for long-term improvement in the appearance of cellulite with no loss of benefit for up to two years, which is the longest FDA clearance for a cellulite treatment. "We are the first group in Dallas to offer this new medical technology to patients who suffer from the disfiguring dimpling of cellulite until January 2016," said Dr. Jay Burns, MD, a Dallas, board-certified plastic surgeon.
It is a single, 60-minute treatment using a local anesthetic and limited downtime offering significant improvement of orange peel like cellulite on the buttocks and thighs.
The System combines highly advanced, technology with a well-established procedure called subcision, to treat the primary structural cause of cellulite.
There are many factors that cause cellulite, including; aging, hormones, genetics and dramatic weight loss. These factors cause connective tissue bands under the skin to stiffen, and the fat cells they surround become larger and push up into the skin. "Cellulite is caused by factors outside of the patient's control," said Dr. Burns.
