Introducing "me" - New Over The Counter Hair Removal Device For All Skin Types

Aesthetic device maker Syneron has received FDA approval to market the me, a home-use, over the counter, hair removal system for consumers

Syneron Medical Ltd., publicly traded as ELOS, has announced the approval of their "me" personal hair removal system. What makes me different than other over the counter hair removal devices available is that it combines RF energy with Intense Pulse Light to achieve hair reduction. RF energy is safe for all skin colors, which is very important for an at-home system.

According to dermatologist and researcher, Jerome M. Garden, M.D., Syneron has conducted a 100-patient clinical study, covering all skin colors, at four leading dermatologist sites in the U.S., using the me hair removal instrument. The data from the study supports efficacy across all skin tones and confirmed a significant safety profile.

The device is marketed internationally as "me my elos" and according to the website is effective for everything but "black skin", so it will be interesting to see how the device is marketed in the US. The cost of the system is currently $670 from their website, expect this to be different since they can legally market it in the US now.
