Rejuvenation Award at THE Aesthetic Show

The Best Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation Award was presented to Dr. Ken Oleszek of La Fontaine Aesthetics in Denver, Colorado. With a strong interest in skin resurfacing and other non-surgical rejuvenation techniques, Dr. Oleszek has provided the denizens of Cherry Creek for the past 7 years with aggressive laser resurfacing to treat aging skin and acne scars, restoring smooth youthful skin, along with other procedures.

"The award winning results for THE Aesthetic Show's Best Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation were for a patient I treated with laser resurfacing treatment," describes Dr. Oleszek, "The patient was a 70 year old woman from Florida who had extensive photo damage and dermatoheliosis with marked skin laxity." The patient originally sought Dr. Oleszek because she felt that her face did not match the way she felt and that her aged appearance made her look unhealthy.

To treat his patient's skin concerns, Dr. Oleszek's goal was not only to improve skin texture but to tighten the overall epidermis to freshen her look. "Using aggressive laser resurfacing with the MiXto fractional CO2, I improved her skin texture, as well as significantly tightened and thickened her facial skin," states Dr. Oleszek.

Fractional Laser Resurfacing uses carbon dioxide lasers to cause uniform tissue ablation. The immediate effects are contraction and tissue tightening, however over time, new collagen is stimulated thus softening of fine lines and wrinkles. Ideal for removing damage from the sun such as brown spots and or wrinkles, fractional laser resurfacing is minimally invasive and requires a short downtime while skin heals. According to MiXto manufacturer, patients may expect approximately 5 days of downtime while healing and allowing new skin to form.

"I have used Lasering's MiXto fractional CO2 for the past 3 years," says Dr. Oleszek, "I use the device for aggressive resurfacing treatments as well as for lighter treatments for stretch marks and skin rejuvenation that have less downtime. The ease of use, flexibility and reliability makes it one of my favorite devices."

The patient, who resides in Florida, was so pleased with her treatment and results that she has returned to Denver with her husband and sister-in-law for the same treatment that won Dr. Oleszek his notable award.
