- The Shake Weight One of the most popular new exercise devices, the Shake Weight costs $20 and uses dynamic inertia to tone the arms. The claim is that in only 6 minutes a day, you can tone your arms, shoulder and chest. The technology is said to increase muscle involvement by 300% and was developed specifically for women
- Neckline Slimmer This gizmo exercises the face and is designed to help avoid the neck and jawline sagging commonly associated with aging. As Cohen demonstrates, you hold the base in hand while placing the The Neckline Slimmer under the chin. Push down on the weight with your chin to build stronger muscles. It's only $20 and features multiple resistance levels to continue challenging yourself as your face gets stronger.
- The Treadmill Bike This device combines two well known fitness tools - the treadmill and the bicycle. As you walk on the treadmill surface, the wheels move making this an exercise and transportation device. However, as Cohen points out, with a $2500 price tag many may feel it's easier to go for a run.
- Flex Belt A belt pack is worn around the midsection and electrical pulses cause the muscles to tense up. According to the manufacturer, if the Flex Belt is used 30 minutes a day for 6 weeks, you will have six pack abs. It is FDA approved for toning, firming and strengthening the abdominal muscles and costs around $200.
- Walkvest This vest adds weight so you have to work a little harder while going for a stroll. Rather than just carrying your normal body weight, the additional weight from the vest makes you burn more calories so that you lose weight more quickly. There are several weight combinations and options available for every fitness level.
