Combat Aging With These 4 Facelift Options

Choose how invasive you want your facial improvement to be, and how dramatic you'd like your results now that there are more options available than ever before.

Surgery used to be the only anti-aging option that could effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles and aging, now there are more options than ever for those who want to look their youthful best. Dr. Drew Ordon of The Doctors shared four options patients have to return facial skin tone, texture, and clarity.

  1. Jaw Line Rejuvenation: Sculpting the jaw line can give the chin back some definition, and the physician will usually add some volume to the chin and use a little bit of liposuction in the neck. The fat removed from the neck can then be used to add some volume to the midface area, where volume is typically lost over time. While this isn't a non-invasive option, it is considered fairly minor and the downtime and recovery are easily managed by most.

  2. {!Mini Facelift: | mini facelift} In this procedure, referred to by Dr. Ordon as a "mini-lift" or "O-lift," surgeons use a vertical pull with incisions made near the ears. These incisions are smaller and much more easily hidden than in traditional facelift.

  3. Liquid Facelift: Using facial fillers your aesthetic physician can not only treat fine lines and wrinkles, but can actually restore fullness to the face. Sculptra was approved for cosmetic use just last year and is used to fill in the cheek area that can often lose its fullness over time.

  4. {!Facelift: | facelift} This is the most invasive of the four procedures and requires a bit larger incision. The physician will pull up and tighten the skin and the muscle vertically improving definition in the jowl and neck line, as well as the nasolabial area. Downtime is anywhere from a week to 10 days.

Whatever your needs, your aesthetic physician has a solution for you that can be more or less intense depending on the amount of downtime you're willing to spend.
