Jason Alexander Drops 30 Pounds with Jenny Craig

Following in the steps of Valerie Bertinelli and Sarah Rue, Jason Alexander gets down to business and drops some serious weight.

Seinfeld funny man Jason Alexander, famous for his portrayal of the chubby, fumbling George Costanza, has signed up with Jenny Craig and lost 30 pounds since January. Alexander recently sat down with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on The Today Show to discuss his weight loss. He says he is at his goal weight and is thrilled with the results. After turning 50, his doctor advised him to lose weight to rid himself of high cholesterol and he said his son inspired him when the 14 year old asked if Alexander would still be around when he turns 50.

Weight loss is an exciting and difficult task with great rewards and looking good is only one of the many benefits of maintaining a healthy weight. Other incentives to drop the pounds include lower risks of diabetes and heart disease as well as increased energy and improved mobility. For those who lose a significant amount of weight however, their joy can be overshadowed by loose skin and stretch marks.

Liposuction procedures such as SmartLipo and Vaser offer the benefit of fat removal and skin tightening so that your spotty fat deposits which you haven't been able to get rid of with diet and exercise can be removed, and the skin tightened in those areas as well. There are also more drastic surgical options for people with a large amount of excess skin such as a tummy tuck which removes excess fat and skin from the stomach, or arm lift which removes excess skin from the arms.

New fractional resurfacing techniques can help you reduce the appearance of not only the fine lines and wrinkles on your face, but also your stretch marks. These telltale signs of weight gain can make it impossible to wear a bikini, even though you've got the body for it. Devices such as Fraxel use laser technology while others, such as the Refirme use radiofrequency (RF) energy. They send columns of energy through the skin, stimulating collagen growth so that skin is tightened and surface texture is improved.

If you've reached your goal weight and have exercised but still have stubborn pockets of fat, a trip to your cosmetic surgeon may provide you with the final result you've wished for.
