The Titan Laser procedure uses infrared light to simulate collagen contraction, tightening the skin and reversing the signs of aging. It is completely non-surgical and no incisions are required. The procedure carries very little downtime and causes little to no pain. New York dermatologist Dr. Macrene Alexiades-Armenakas spoke with Extra recently about the Titan laser treatment and its results.
Titan's infrared light energy heats the dermis to cause collagen contraction while preserving the epidermis through continuous cooling, which both protects and soothes the skin, providing more comfort for the patient. In addition, Titan can stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding that leaves patients with younger looking skin. The skin will continue to improve over time.
This procedure can treat loose skin just about anywhere on the body, and is effective on the abdomen, thighs and underarms. Titan is also used to tone, lift and tighten skin on the face and neck, however, the results are said to be about 1/10 those of a facelift. No anesthesia is required for Titan, making it a safer, and more cost effective alternative. How much does Titan cost? According to Extra, between $800-$2000.
