Four Face Lift Options To Suit Every Woman

There are options available now to rejuvenate your face, and you can pick how invasive you want to go.

As we age, the years display their effects most prominently on our faces. Years ago, surgery was the only real option and results weren't always what patients hoped for. Now, as Dr. Drew Ordon discusses on The Doctors today, there are many choices available to bring back skin tone, texture, and clarity.

  1. Liquid Facelift: Filler options are available to not only treat fine lines and wrinkles, but can actually restore fullness to the face. Sculptra was approved for cosmetic use just last year and is used to fill in the cheek area that can often lose its fullness over time.

  2. Jaw Line Rejuvenation: The plastic surgeon is able to do a little sculpting in the jaw area to give the chin back some definition. The doctor will typically add some volume to the chin and use a little bit of liposuction in the neck. The fat removed from the neck can then be used to add some volume to the midface area. This is a little more invasive, but the downtime is very little and recovery is not typically very painful.

  3. {!Mini Facelift: | mini facelift} Dr. Ordon refers to this as a "mini-lift" or "O-lift." Surgeons use a vertical pull with incisions made near the ears. These incisions are smaller and much more easily hidden than in traditional facelift.

  4. {!Facelift: | facelift} This is the most invasive of the four procedures and requires a bit larger incision. The skin and the muscle are pulled and tightened up vertically. The greatest definition is seen in the jowl and neck line, as well as the naso/labial area. Downtime is anywhere from a week to 10 days.
